Maledives - resort trip

I need some help, as we are going to Maledives with my gf and she is very subborn about staying in the restort.
Do you think it is possible to rent some surf trip from the resort, where they don´t have a surfing spot?
I have been checked the hotels with surf spots, but some of them they are too expensive or full booked.
Please help me other way I will have to stay in the resort with my gf without even one day of surf!
