My best surf session ever was when I surfed Waikiki at 8:00 at night in the middle of July. The water temperature musta been 85 degrees and the surf was 2-3 feet perfect peeling waist high waves...the sun was setting with a magnificent orange color just bursting in the sky....I think I was just about the last one out that day. It was awesome!
Describe your best surf session EVER! :D

last sunday. I really rode for the first time ever. I stood up before, but never got a full ride. That day i got like 5 really long rides. Now i have to work on riding the wave sideways instead of going straight towards shore.

Right On Dan

I never thought of a best session to be just standing up and getting a FULL ride...THIS is what makes surfing so great... like just to get a full, long ride for a novice, is great!!... like Keala Kennely says in the film "Step Into Liquid", "The best surfer is the one having the most fun!"...Awesome! :D

my best sesh was on christmas eve this year at bolinas. there was only about 3 people in the lineup with 5-6 foot waves, off shore winds, 4-5 waves per set, and sunshine. i was pretty stoked and at the end of the day my arms felt like noodles from paddling so long 8)

This is like.. the best topic ever!

Yea yea. That's an amazing feeling that one long as first ride in. I still remember mine. Happened yesterday. You feel so 8) after :? for so long.

Most of the time I catch one of those magic moment waves I don't really know how I got there. It's like... you go through the process in your mind for every waking second since you start learning... ok, watch waves, pick spot, watch waves, THERE'S ONE, turn board, ok... walk board around initially.. start paddling like _____, and then all those million other little steps and

all of a sudden you feel like ... you just invented weekends!... or something!!

I never ever ever EVER believed it possible. that I would be able to stand up an a moving form of water on a floating plank... and THEN.. even have enough control to tell it to go right or left because the wave's closing out to the right!!!! haaa haaaa

STOooooKE!!

I love that you guys get as much stoke out of this as I do. Crazy a!

:o ooh ooh!!

NIGHT SURFING!!

The BEST ever! It's so much fun when the wind dies down and you have to ... literally feel the wave... it's too dark to even rely on those 'dark forms moving towards you'..that's usually the horizon. or sharks.

Beautiful and serene!

It's fun using those other senses to catch the green. Like, I think it improved my day surfin a lot too. How to feel the momentum of the wave under ya and like that...

Anyone else love night surfing?
