Surfing Waves

I'm just interested in hearing some new names, because right now i'm just watching tons of surf footage.
My favourite surfer is definitely Jamie O'Brien.

I used to like watching Mick fanning.

Currently John Florence ...well he isn't surfing right now cause he has ligament injuries but he is so amazing. I like to watch Kelly Slater as well but maybe his earlier stuff but he can still do some amazing stuff and Andy Irons never gets old to me but he is dead. I like Carissa Moore, she just seems to understand the waves very well and has a powerful but smooth style. There are so many surfers I like actually..... used to be it was Gerry Lopez, Eddie Aikau and my used to be favorite surfer Barry Kanaiaupuni not mention Larry Bertleman and Derek Ho oh I just did mention them

John Florence and Mason Ho are my two favorite.

Yeah I like Mason and Mike and Coco too....forgot to mention Micheal Ho. Coco Ho and Malia Manuel have improved their surfing a lot over the last couple years and they both have styles I like to watch and they seem to be on the edge of breaking into the title race or possibly dropping off the tour. Just when it seems like they are about to blow it open they get cut in the second round. Mason is an exciting surfer too you never know what he might do he is such a surf junkie.

Clay Marzo and Rob Machado. I don’t know a lot about them but have watched a lot of there surfing and it’s awesome. Any female who can longboard too.

Kelly, Michel Bourez and Stephanie Gilmore. And I love what Taylor Jensen does on a longboard.

Stephanie Gilmore is fantastic and Rob Machado is like the totally stylish surfer. Albee Layer does some interesting stuff. Kai Lenny is great too and if you are into big waves Laird, Shane Dorian, Mark Healy, Billy Kemper, Greg Long,Garrett Macnamara , Makuaikai Rothman. There are lots of surfers I like to watch. Paige Alms Keala Kennelly, Maya Gabriella for the female big wave surfers and for females on smaller waves I also like Courtney Conlogue and Taitiana Weston-Web

I forgot to mention Tyler Wright on the womens side. There are so many surfers I like to watch even more on the mens side Gabrielle Medina, Felipe Toledo, Julian Wilson, Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Sebastian Zeitz ....Just about any of them and new guy Griffin Colapinto oh and new woman Caroline Marks

I like the way Jordy Smith surfs too. I guess there will be others I think of as I am getting old and memory is not as good as ...what was I saying?

JJF for me- he's a machine in both heavy heaving barrels and technical and areial surfing.
Slater is also just a legend. Still amazing, knows how to pick and ride a barrel with the best of them

I forgot to mention Sunny Garcia he is still a powerful surfer that I like to watch

Longboarding Nelson Ahina III is awesome. I have no idea how he isn't the number 1 longboarder in the world. Or for women check out Honolua Blomfield or Kelia Moniz

I like several surfers, including some of our local boys. Here's a few snapshots of me that illustrate two or my faves. In addition to his prowess, another reason I like big wave champ Tom Curren is that he lives 1 mile from my Santa Barbara home.

I like Kelly Stater. Additionally, I like:
Tim Curran and have one of his recorded music CDs
Mick Fanning because he was able to "take it to" Kelly when no one else could
John John because he's a small white boy in Hawaii
Rob Machado because he epitomizes surfing culture
Bobby Martinez because he is a local Santa Barbara son and he is deeply convicted in his beliefs

They're not surfers, but I like them anyway (and this photo was made at one of my favorite Malibu beaches):

One final one. I adore this surfer. It's my little cousin, Jenna!

Rob Machado for his style. Bethany Hamilton for having overcome a traumatic event and still reached where she is at.
