I'll try to answer some of the often asked questions in one blurry video.
1) Does more rocker help the board from pearling ?
2) Do I need better more expensive fins to turn my board ?
3) How much wax do I need ? Will a traction pad help ?
4) Do you have to angle in the take off ?

Watch this video my wife took of me from her iPhone at Kamogawa beach last weekend. Sorry it's a bit blurry, but maybe you can still make out the fins.

Trick questions, we know all the answers are ‘yes’ and ‘shortboard’ (well, you didn’t ask the last question but it’s implied)

I would be so worried about face planting into that fin!

It's hard to see but I'm riding the board Upside Down and Backwards.
My feet are on the slick bottom with no wax.
The fins are facing up so all I have to turn off of are the rails.
The rocker is convex, pointing downwards yet I can still paddle into the wave and get to my feet without pearling by correct body positioning on the board and board on the wave.
Even with everything working opposite of normal, I still could perform a bottom turn and trim along the face ( couldn't do an off the lip re-entry as I would've ran over the guy on the inside ).

Impressive but let's see you do that at pipeline to really test the idea :)
