Does kneeling as on a Knee board mean a river standing wave is no longer a standing wave?

Clever! Inspired me to find and share a surfing limerick. The internet search for such produced many links to stories and videos for guess what? Limerick, Ireland!

1) A SoCal surfer smoked marijuana before riding some small waves. Apparently after this, the tide was high.

BoMan walked into his favorite Bolinas, California surf shop. The shop offers immaculate customer service. As soon as you walk in they ask, “Are you being surfed?"

9) Apparently Laird Hamilton can even ride big waves with one foot off the board in the water. He calls it toe-in surfing. dtc does it, too.

10) Having rejected the turtle roll, the vegetarian surfer kookRachelle, ended up eating the wave.

11) I was visiting a break on the island of Oahu frequented by professional surfers. I’d just arrived from the island of Kauai where Old Man Surfer told me it may be possible to find one of our other pals visiting from Japan. I was looking for waikikikichan on the North Shore when a slight young man said to me, “Aloha. My name is John John." My surfing nickname is Jaffa, and my surfing children were know as The Smarties.

Jaffas is an Australian registered trademark for a small round sweet consisting of a soft chocolate centre with a hard covering of orange flavoured, red coloured confectionery. The name derives from the Jaffa orange grown in Australia.

Smarties are produced in State of New Jersey the United States and the Province of Ontario in Canada. Each package contains an assortment of pastel colors and related flavors: white is orange cream, yellow is pineapple, pink is cherry, green is strawberry, purple is grape, and orange is orange.

Smarties as England and most the British Commonwealth know them, chocolate buttons with various coloured coated, much like m and ms but predating them by 4 years Smarties 1937, m and ms 1941.

The American Smarties are flavoured dextrose tablets and are a late comer 1949 so as old as I am .
Jaffas are older than all of these being released in Australia in 1931

Now we know as evidenced by this true experience:

Watched a movie last night. One character from US. Other character from Germany. The German one gave sweets and junk food to the US one to try. A minor argument ensued over the definition of Smarties. Each was familiar with only one kind. I thought, "Gee whiz! If only they regulalrly read Surfing Waves Forum, then they would know."

Who says "surfing is for deadbeats because it provides no education"?
