erm...i suppose rocks may do that. if its really a problem for you, maybe boots would help - some nice light 3mm ones.

Sounds like you may be dragging your feet on the take off. The only way to stop doing that is to be more focused on what you are doing with your feet as you take off and consciously work on not doing it.

I have a similar problem in that I drag my left second toe as I'm standing up and after a long session it get quite sore. Doesn't happen when I focus on my teqnique though. Failing that booties may be the go.
