Surfing Waves

i posted this on Surfing Hardware but didnt get any responses, thought i'd try my luck here..anyway, how do u guys secure your board on your cars? im always worried of leaving my board unattended when i go eat somewhere after a session..i drive a truck and i just tie my board with the leash on one of the hooks on the bed..do any of u guys know or have used locks for surfboard? i googled and found some locks by Gatekeeper and DocksLocks, but im a little skeptical about them..any help or advice wil be greatly appreciated
