Traction pad on a 6,6 fish outline... should I?

Hey,
I have been surfign for 2 or 3 years and have been riding a 6,6 superfish 3 for about 6 months now (this board https://shop.surfindustries.com/us/surf ... fish-3-cv/) . I'm riding it fine enough without a traction pad. However, I often find it really hard to tell where my feet are. I find my self physically looking down when I want to get my foot really over the back part of the fins. I was thinking a traction pad might help with this?Alternatively, I was thinking of putting two little duct tape X's on my board to show me where the back part of my fins are. However, a lot of people seem to say fish's shouldn't be ridden with pads as you're moving up and down a lot (especially when they are on the bigger side of 6,6).
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks a bundle
