Laird Hamilton will be in NYC for his movie screening and I'm definitely going. I don't think I'll be able to carry a surfboard into the cinema so there goes my plan. I might buy his book and ask him to sign that! Or any other suggestions?

Book would be good. You know he has his own little commercial entity. He sells a lot of stuff. I used to have a hat and a coffee cup that said "Blame Laird". That was my favorite coffee cup for the longest time. I currently have a photo of Laird on the Millennial Wave at Teahupoo (it's signed) but he sells that too. He probably sells signed copies of his book.

another option is the movie 'Riding Giants'. Although finding an actual physical copy of a movie nowadays might be hard! But some covers have Laird on the front

If you want to get in shape he offers training at various locations http://www.xptlife.com/product-category/experiences/ He is super fit which helps him survive big waves. But he just had a artificial hip replacement surgery so not too sure how much big waves he is doing now. However if anyone can do big waves after hip replacement surgery it would be him. He was also in the Descendants which was filmed here on Kauai

Guess I'd try to bring my board there but the person who would sit behind me in the movie would probably hate it!

I was going to say a poster or a photo so you can frame it later, but the fin is even better. So classy and surfer-like!

There are even 'Laird' fins if you want to be ultra cool
