There was a stern faced pale kiter OTW to the beach as I was leaving who passed me.......glad I didn't have to share the water with him. Usually the kiters go around Benoa where there are large flat areas (mouth of the bay) and some breaking waves that no one surfs really that they ramp off of. No one told this guy apparently.

Long ago a surfer that I grew up with went to college in New Jersey...I think east coast somewhere around there. Anyway when a hurricane hit he went surfing right before the hurricane because it was the only time there were waves nice enough and big enough that he had to go out. The police were on the beach screaming that a hurricane was coming and he was screaming back that he knew there was a hurricane coming.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
