Old surfboard information

Postby 60caddyman » Wed Aug 30, 2017 7:31 pm

Have an older longboard and was wondering if any of the designs on this board mean anything.

The board says it was made by Bonecrusher Designs and measures 9' 3/4". It also has "Assault Weapons" on it and various product logos.

Not a surfer - using the board as a display on my Ford tin woody and would appreciate more information about this board, if there is any.

Thanks!

Nice thought , the woody, 1954 model, unfortunately the board is not old enough, the board is a beaten up and is at the oldest a 1980s model\, as the thruster fin set up gives that away.
You need a 1960s Malibu balsa chip single D fin to match authentically, as for the design thingies just that, no arcane meanings there!
Something like these from Australia circa 1966

Note there is a through the fin rope on one, leash or anti theft?
Check out the movie Big Wednesday for more ideas of what the older boards looked like.
