Anyone had a fantastic deal on surf gear?

Postby sinistapenguin » Thu Apr 01, 2004 11:08 am

I'm stoked because in October last year I was on a web forum similar to this one and someone was asking about the Rip Curl Ultimate Elasto Slickskin wetsuit and whether it was any good.

Turns out there is a shop in Birmingham that sells liquidated stock and they had loads of surf stuff in!!

I went over there and got myself a Rip Curl Ultimate Elasto Slickskin 3/2 for £80 (they retail at £220). They had all sorts of stuff like 10mm board bags for £15!!

Anyone else had any good deals on stuff.

C'mon share your stoke!!

boardshop.co.uk do pretty good deals on boards, nothing as good as your deal seems but i got a brand new NSP 6'8" board with bag, wax and delivery for £235. The board alone was selling in O'Neill for £255 + about £50 for a bag. Was the best deal around I could find. I was pretty stoked.

good deal or not?

Postby eesalou » Mon May 03, 2004 10:52 pm

ok, well, i got an email from a guy a couple days back saying that he can get me a custom made board and have it shipped up to me. he says that anything under 7 feet usually costs around 450 bucks with shipping. color is extra, and a board longer than 7 feet will cost more. Is this a good deal?
