Postby Guest » Mon Jun 27, 2005 9:58 pm

Hey guys,

I am new to surfing and my friend gave me a kite board and said that it would be ok to surf on as long as i take off the foot straps.. could anyone shread some light on this? will it be ok. I thought it was quite cool considering I cant afford a surf board right now..

will it be ok?

Thanks

Maybe, there are 2 types of kiteboard I have seen and as long as its not the wakeboard type then it is possible the kiteboard may work as a conventional surfboard as it looks alot like one.

Yeah well I would if I had some money! I surf board here costs a lot and I am of the broke student variety. I was wondering if there is any point getting one when I could use this kite board if I took the straps off.

my advice is go out there and try it! that will answer your question real fast, but if you are just learning to surf it may be too small to learn on.
