Rib Bruising

Postby sinistapenguin » Tue Jun 14, 2005 11:49 am

Does anyone else get bruises on their ribs from paddling?

Every time I go I wind up with 2 black bruises where my ribs are pushing agains the deck of my board.

I just wondered if anyone else gets it and if they've found a way to combat it?

Cheers

Yup, I get that all the time :?

I find its much worse if I arch my back a lot, so I try to avoid it if I can, but obviously a lot of the time you have to

You could always surf a soft-top

I will freely admit that I don't surf enough!! Unfortunately living at the furthest point from a beach in the UK and having a 2 year old daughter do limit the amount of time one gets to endulge one's aquatic pleasures!!

Roll on the Boscombe reef!!
