Ight, so I am a native Floridian born and raised on the beach. I am sutch in Ohio for school. In the fall I meet up with some wind-surfers who took me out to the Great Lakes and they towed me into waves- longboard only so ovious. But then in the winter I took up snowboarding and that is sweet. But now I am in a riff... too cold to surf too warm to snowboard. Any ideas I am going out of my mind without any H2O besides lifeguarding in an indoor pool. Any ideas please?!

take up skateboarding, can be a great laugh, especially if you get a few mates together. you can skate indoors or outdoors, learn a few tricks, improve you balance, and so on. painful sport though, the amount of bruises you get..... owch.

Hello beeichibum,
I don't think we have had the pleasure of being introduced. Hey I am Duncs from england, and welcome to the forum,...i know im late in saying that but hey! As to your request:
Ride mountianbikes.
I do,...street style, dirt jumps, or you could just throw yourself off mountains!
Like surfing, one you have your equipment its free FOR EVER!! well until you break your bike. Just try not to get shouted at by livid security guards when you manual off nicely polished marble walls  or by policemen when you cause havoc in the town centre doing stair jumps. :double blush:
Ahhh,...i love being rebellious. Lol. Like freaky_chick said you have to be prepared for cuts and scrapes though!! Might be worth a go anyway.
Have a nice day!

how cold are your winters in ohio? or more specifically, how cold's the water? if you got really desperate you could always get a good wettie (thats what they're there for, so we can keep surfing in winter)
oh and gloves and booties and hoodies.... i can't imagine giving up surfing for winter i'd go crazy. probably spend more time in the pubs.... i've got a 4/3 wettie which is pretty good for nz conditions, but i'm gonna have to invest in some serious accessories soon....it was snowing the last time i went out....! maybe you could start working on your cardiovascular fitness etc so you can get straight back into surfing when it gets warmer? might kill some time anyway...

Ohh because I am from FLorida anything under 67 is like winter coat weather. Umm butt there is snow so I took up snowboarding this winter. The water is very cold even in the summer, I use a dry suit and have a face wrap and boots and everything.lol. In the winter the water is frozen and has sheets of ice. No way to go out in the winter. Umm, plus I have to be towed out. Ummm but I usually migrate back south during hurricane season to get some good surf. But head out when it gets bad. Ohh and welsh chick, its all good!

yes, one of my teachers tried to explain it to me once. Is it some kind of cheese from the Bavarian Alps? I still don't know what this has to do with my weird dreams, etc.... are you saying I ate some bad cheese?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. If you're going to mess around with cheese from the Bavarian Alps, do so in a responsible manner!
PS, why was your teacher trying to explain to you about cheese?

Did you take Advanced Cheeses class as well??

I have a Phd in Foreign Cheese Manufacture from the University du Fromage in Camembert, Switzerland, and I did my thesis on the rare south american cheddar. I am well clued up with cheeses now

Wow, kudos dude!
I got kicked outta my A-level Cheeses class for having a yoghurt in my pack lunch...

I gotta admit, I'm a helluva rebel when it comes to cheeses... Rules are for wimps

* cough cough * ... i'll have you know that timmo has passed all exams in advanced cheese recognition and appreciation .. he has been awarded a Masters with every honour from " Le Grand Fromage University which is currently based in Val'claret , Tignes
Further more .. cheeZe does not give nightmares ..in fact quite the opposite ..in my hardback book entitled .. " The CheeZee Sutra " .. you will find complete and unquestionable evidence that induldging in cheeZe at bedtime will produce a deep harmoneous sleep if sleep is required at all .. generally it is not, as induldging in CheeZe at bedtime usually asures the participant ( if female ) ... no need to sleep as the CheeZe produces a wealth of previously hidden 'primevil' energy that needs at least 8hrs of vigorous play untill the bedtime effects of the CheeZe have passed .
All of this and more can be found in any good university library under the heading .. " Every body loves a little bit of CheeZe "
other suggested reading
" CheeZe and its longterm effect on crackers "
" CheeZe and its place in the universe "
" Naked CheeZe "
" CheeZe uncovered "
" CheeZe , the myths the legend "
I thankyou .
