so i was feeling rather impatient in the early morning and a question was nagging on my mind… i got a new board and leash today and it just occured to me that i wasnt quite sure how to attach the leash properly because ive always used borrowed boards, so this is a first for me. i could just wait and ask my friends, but im feeling impatient. any help would be appreciated.
PS. its a dakine kainui leash.
alrighty thanks!

There should be (or you should put) a loop of string through the leash plug at the back of your board.
You should then be able to attach the 'mesh' end of the leash to this loop. Some leashes require you to tie the string through the mesh when you tie it off - mine has a velcro attachment so you can take the leash off.
Let me know how you go.
Cheers

I've just started the 'How To' section for the site to adress all these questions that are simple for the experienced surfer but not for the new surfer. The how to attach a leash page is 90% done and I'll try to finish it today or tomorrow. Check the NEWS items on the main site for a link to the new section.
