Way to safely remove GoPro mount?

I just got a nice old longboard that I love, except for its GoPro mount. I wish I could remove it. I'll never do anything on a surfboard worth recording from its tip. I rarely do anything on a surfboard worth recording from any vantage whatsoever, actually. But I don't know how I'd get that mount off without having to repair the finish. Right? Or has anyone done this without regrets?

Ha! I always figured surfing would do that. I haven't done it but here is a video

Way way way too easy. (Including Google search: "remove GoPro from surfboard.")

Thanks!

Hahahaha yep the internet can be helpful. I have chosen to put my gopro on a helmet. It keeps it out of my way but the helmet is confining and distracting. I am pretty sure the gopro wouldn't last too long on the board so haven't tried it but I guess now if I do I will know how to remove it.

The stick on mount type I am assuming....I have removed a few; usually just spatula it off the deck with the edge of a wax comb. They pop off pretty easy and the few times I've done it left no pressure dents. I then wipe the spot with paint thinner to get any sticky residue off the board. I wouldn't do the thinner wipe if you have a board with paint on top of the glass.

Worked like a charm. And the board's so littered with patches, I probably don't even need to touch up with alcohol.
