The toll that aging takes on a body extends all the way down to the cellular level. But the damage accrued by cells in older muscles is especially severe, because they do not regenerate easily and they become weaker as their mitochondria, which produce energy, diminish in vigor and number.
A study published this month in Cell Metabolism, however, suggests that certain sorts of workouts may undo some of what the years can do to our mitochondria.

Endorphins and Dolphins and active saline hydrotherapy. The forces of nature, sea spray negative ions, solar induced vitamin D ,. Smiles on dials. Riding G forces emanating originally from solar forces.
Putting might in your mitochondria, putting new in sinew, keeping flex and reflex, some say it's better than sex.
Why use any other program?

The most important word in that bit is the word MAY. Exercise may or may not undo what the years can do to our mitochondria is what it really says. It's from unexpected findings and trying to draw conclusions from them. Just surf.....do you need an excuse?

Go genetically deeper, at the ends of each strand of DNA are telomeres repetitive sequences the longer they are the longer they hold out against structural damage to the core strand and its death. Keeping cells appropriately nourished and less exposed to pathogens ( however you do it helps)
Maybe even your belief patterns too.
Live and die grateful and happy and take you time doing it
