Norcal Spring Break Forecast Looking Good

SHORT TERM FORECAST (through Tuesday, April 4th)
Swell/Surf: A new/large, long period WNW swell (280-295°) will steadily build into the coast tonight through Sunday (peaked on Papa Buoy with 15 feet at 17 seconds from 270°). Taking roughly about 1.5 days to reach Central CA (note: expect a bit more energy to decay), this swell will top out first for northernmost areas like Santa Cruz/Monterey through Sunday afternoon, with SLO County peaking shortly after in the evening.
Overhead to well overhead surf will rise up on Sunday for the better West-NW exposures, with standouts climbing into the double to triple overhead+ range as the swell peaks for each respected region. Big-wave spots will produce sets running 16-20 feet on the face, and occasionally even larger for select magnets. This energy will then gradually back down over the first half of next week, but still quite large on Monday.
