After sifting around for another couple of months I thought I would post again

So good and bad news- recovery is still continuing and (slowly starting to take shape again). Been 5.5months since my surgery!
Bad news- the surgeon said another 6 months til I can surf again and another 3 months til I can start trying to run or do anything dynamic.
It hasn't been all doom and gloom though- I've still been suping about once a week (while wearing my moonboot) haha.
After trying that 7'6 naish again I decided it was a ridiculous purchase and counter proudive to both my rehab and being in the water (literally 'in' the water).
A deal came up in the weekend for a mctavish 9'0 board with dimensions 9'0 x 29 x 4 1/4. Apparently it was only 12l more than my 7'6 despite being very similar dimension, actually a touch thinner and more narrow.
It was only $499 brand new!! It's about 128l.
I took it for a spin this arvo in super choppy, onshore windy conditions and it was surprisingly ok! I could stand up relatively comfortably in those conditions right away. Quite a bit of tail rocker and flattish nose rocker.
Seems like a fun board! Could probably even paddle it like a surfboard
