So I am figuring out what would be the best surfboard volume when I am barely 5' and 100lbs.

I found a couple surfboards and these are their specs:

5'3" x 20 1/4" x 2 5/8"

5'9" x 19 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Which would be better?

hi Keilani,
you were wise to provide some data about yourself and boards. But, to provide useful answer, please also answer these basic questions.
1. Are you an experienced surfer?
2. Can you catch unbroken waves?
3. Where do you surf?
4. How fit are you?
5. Are you strong?
6. Are you a good swimmer?

1) What size is the yellowing board with quad fins you found for $180 ?
2) What size is your current board that you ride consistently? 6'2" ? 9'2"
My thought is if you need to ask which is "better", the 5'3" or 5'9", then the answer is neither. If you can ride that size/type of board, you should know already.

If you haven't surfed at all and are trying to get a first board then what is a good board for you will be different than if you have been surfing and are looking to get another board. Boards are only good or bad for a particular surfer and there isn't a best board for everyone
