I am fairly sure Jay Moriarty didn't ride the biggest wave at Mavericks. He was just famous for falling off the top of a big wave.

Well it has a jaws wave from 2016 and Jay Moriarty who did not ever surf the biggest wave at Mavericks and has been dead for a long time. I guess whoever came up with the list doesn't know surfing.

Please if you compile a set of you tube footage , get it right the Mike Parson footage is from Billabong Odyssey and is of the Cortes Bank surf journey.
They are all monster waves and we understand your excitement , but factual correctness is important too.

I know of a wave that you all know of , but is still unridden to this day, longboards short boards , jet skis, helicopter tow in. Nobody has ridden it!
The worldwide unridden phenomenon of the eleven foot wave.
