I never really told you guys that i am an experienced swimmer. i swam in a lot of places and i noticed there were various miniscule creatures that could hurt you.
One of the most annoying ones are the small transparent ones. they bite and you see your blood coming out. when you blow on them they will jump real fast.

does any of you know what their name is ? and how to fight them?

please feel free to share more species that are harming you.

the best way i can describe it is they are small and transparant andtheir 2 feeling sprites are black. the shape of the body is like a very small scampi(shrimp) and it comes and goes. it doesnt really go sucking for a while. its a kiss n ride thing. if you blow or make a move t will reflect really fast.

the places i noticed them was in jersey at summers. jersey island next to france. bray dunes has it too occasionally. In morocco i only had problems with sea hedgehogs but i have watershoes for that.

ill try my best to look up for it

In Hawaii, don't play with the pretty blue bubble floating on the water.

they are everywhere. they say they dont bite only ocaasionally. yeah well iffffff they bite, then you are going to be really unlucky. what is the safe zone. how far does a shark swim? maybe we have to say and get to the coclusion that as surfers we are never safe?

quiet honestly im phobic to small insects and animals. even in militairy i would on purpose sleep high on a tree or on top of my munition camion. just to stay away from swine. I got a bad experience of a swine who entered my tent. it was mma with a swine inside the tent. moreover the kids came in as well.
the other time i was in poland and it was summer in stechen and there was this oily golden scarab who bit me and i got this watery skin somehow. strange cause they dont cause that normally.

i had the habit to wear thin neckwarmers or anything just to be safe. well after 3 weeks in the forest you dont care anymore. you r ears are full of ticks. and your freaking cross when you cross over water gets bloodsuckers. fortunately not my balls thank god.

in the water today i probably killed some crabs. lucky i have those watershoes. yeah i know it sounds pussy. in morocco i dont do that. but northsea when you go into the deep you get all this liquid transparant animals burning you or even small isopods like this topic mentions. but rashvests really help in this

all with all a shark must be really bad news if it comes to your way. hands amputated and such things or even more horrific.

the thing is like with everything you get used to it. AND THATS WHERE THE DANGER COMES. you become nonchalant (u tend to forget the danger and enjoy your sport or occupation more) but the danger that lies ahead is always there.
