surf wax topic AGAIN!

so i ordered a cool wax for surfboarding and nowhere does it say anything else so it seems pretty standard to me.
after some research and following some guides on the net i was amazed and shocked that there are various elements of how to wax and there are different types of waxes.
now i ordered this one

is this a basecoat? nowhere does it say that.
so im surprised with the new things incoming. is it mandatory to use a top coat as well. or is the first layer enough? or does it depend on where you ride and what climate it is? my guess is that i got the standard first layer basecoat? will that suffice for me going all the way down to half france? or is a top coat adviced?
and why does everyone wax his own way LOL. i mean there are some guides on the net. but i have been lurking on this forum and there seem to be so many ways. is there a way that applies to all weather conditions? so that i dont have to change my ways every time?
