Hey, me again! New to this but where are the best places to surf in the UK. I know about Newquay's Fistral Beach, anywhere else? Or other beaches in Newquay?

There are many options. Have a look at the Surf Map section of this website for a start.

I also replied on your other thread about this... 8)

You're in one of the best spots in the UK, so that's a good start :D

South Devon/Cornwall has hundreds of spots, and North Devon/Cornwall has thousands.

Start off with the Saunton/Croyde/Putsborough on the north coast - three different beaches that point in three different directions so there's almost always a clean wave between them. Saunton in particular is a very newbie-friendly beach break. Croyde is a bit more serious, but is a lot of fun on smaller days. Putsborough is somewhere in the middle, but can often be the best of the bunch in the right swell and wind.

Avoiding crowds is the key in your neck of the woods, but there are so any spots to find and some of the less well known spots are just as good or better than the tourist magnets like Newquay. Get yourself to a surf shop and buy a local surf map (you know, those old fashioned book things). And even in this day and age there are still "secret spots" to discover in Devon and Cornwall, so get exploring!
