Surfing Waves

Any BBoarders out there? im going to get me a little setup when i get some cash together because a)i fancy doing as well as standup b)when no lift availible i can get the bus/train to the beach. i was wondering if anyone whoknows anything about bbording(hint hint papaw) could check out http://www.bodyboardingsouthwest.co.uk/ and see what u think of the pakage deals ,also anyone know of any decent sites i could check out? cheers

Buy the cheapest bboard you can, now go borrow your Dad's saw and cut it in half. Consider yourself lucky this time (smile) and go buy a real surfboard.

i waiting for them comments of someone the reason is transport is a bit of a problem at the moment and the bus service where i want to go wont allow surfboards on bt i can get out more if i do start a bit of sponging *as well* and in 3 years or so ill be on my way to getin my own motor but i think bbordings great i still think as standup more as my favrouite though

how about boardshop.co.uk or just look on ebay or you could buy one of those cheep polestirene ones they sell at the beach or next time i go surfing(stand up) you could get a lift with me

both are a good bodyboard manufacturer iam told , what do you think about them ?

and i was wondering about fins ?

Both of thoes will be fine to start on, and yes one of the first board manufactures out there. if in doubt look up on the board designs.
Just a thought for you tho, you might want to be looking for a Bat tail f you want to be riding mainly prone. if your thinking abou DK riding in the future then go for a crescent tail.
Fin wise, they are all pretty much standerd but the shape and design can be used to your advantage as your skills improve by using them to control on big/steap and heavey waves. make sure you fid a good fit as pinching and rubbing fins are very painful. (best to wear booties/socks underneath them anyway)

You'll defo want a bicep coil leash (worth getting one new as it can be transferd board to board)

My mates have a shop that does good BB stuff, they all rip on BBs so they know their stuff - which is a pleasent bonus! The shop is up here in Norfolk but they do mail order too. They do Cartel, Manta, LMNOP and Toobs.

Suppose I can say here for the benifit of al the other users...

Super hot, boardies and rashie the whole time :) bit expose while we where there only getting N-NW winds most of the time. so only ever cross-shore at best but mornings were pretty clean.

Loads of beachies and reefs, never a crowd. Sweet!
