Gap Year

I will be taking a gap year start next june/july (2006). I was wondering where is a good place for a begginner to start surfing with easy work and what time of year.I will be working at a ski/snowboard resort from November till March. Thanks alot.

Hey there, sounds like a wicked gap, I worked too much in mine didn't have enough fun :(

Anyway, where are you living at the moment and do you have finantial constraints? Do you want to be living somwhere where you can get in most days and working as well or can you afford to just surf... Lucky if you can !

Campsites are allways a good place to start as you can often wangle free or reduced cost accomidation on site.

Look for the area you want to go to and contact people about work.

thats the thing, i really dont know where to go. I would like to travel but it would have to be in the british summer. I would need somewhere that is good for begginners but as i would hopefully eb improving if im there for 3 months or so it would need some hopefully harder places as well. Where would you suggest?
