Just discovered live online coverage of WSL Pipemasters competition! Unbelivably addictive ....... sat for hours watching, waiting unable to do anything else ( like the washing up) just in case someone decided to go for it!!!!! Think maybe I should treat it like cricket and just watch the highlights:-)
Anyways , my question is ........How does the scoring system work and what is this priority rule????

What do you want to know about scoring system? Here is a link to the WSL FAQ
http://www.worldsurfleague.com/pages/faq and more details
http://www.worldsurfleague.com/pages/rules-and-regulationsAlso in case you miss stuff there is a "heat analyzer" link that stores the entire contest (at least for the WCT contests)

Get barreled and totally disappear from view in the tube and come out clean = 7 to10
Make the drop, ride in front of the barrel = 3 to 6
Pull in, don't come out = 1 to 2

Thanks chaps, had a quick read through , nothing too complicated there. Also apart from the priority ruling nothing too tactical going on.
Looking forward to tonight's ( today's) heats!

Yeah I have been addicted to online surf contests for a long time now. Just a few years ago the WSL (or the ASP as it was known back then) didn't have all the World Contest Tournament contests on the internet. I had to do multiple searches for live feeds for contests. The individual contest sponsors often had live feeds for the relatives of the contestants I guess since they didn't advertise or make them easy to find. I kept a bunch of liinks to the various contests and for some of them the next years contest would be on the same url but form many it was different every year. It's so easy now with the WSL putting all the WCT contests on the internet but for some of the QS (qualifying series) you still have to search for a link.
