Today I rode my 5'3" Carl Schaper " Mutt" since my longboard wouldn't fit in my friends car. Figured since it had five fin plugs, might as well use them all.

Hmmm those knub fins are supposed to be facing that way? Crazy different. How does it go? Lots of fins but they seem pretty small.

So how was it? What size and shape waves did you have it in? How did it ride/paddle? Did the tail slide out on bottom turns backside/both? Would you ride it that way again?

I put in back wards just to fool around. They're flexy plastic anyways. I first used this exact setup when i was on my XTR Schaper longboard at this tiny beach break. Work well then , so i thought to try it on the small board. Waves where shoulder to head high beach break. Fast down the line. A bit of slip until i adjusted my foot back, then i good bang of the top. The fins are in the actual FCS line up. But i think you need to look in the SUP section. It's called the River Keel tri-fin set. ( most surfers don't know about them, so keep it a secret )

LOL that's great. I have thought about doing 5 fins on my boards but I haven't even run my favorite board with a thruster set yet. I need to spend more time surfing

That secret set is under 25 bucks a for three on Amazon. Put it in my cart for the next time I go to the states. :). I currently use sidebites like this on my longboard, but really stiff not flexible so it sounds like a fun and cheap experiment.
