Every single day since September 3rd 1975, Dale Webster has surfed a minimum of three waves. Every. Single. Day. Fourteen-thousand six-hundred and forty-one days, no matter the conditions or circumstances.

That's something else.

Yeah he was the guy in Step into Liquid. He kept at it since the film was made until September 3 this year.

I understood it wrong when I read the title at first, thought he was abandoning surfing!
He is just quitting the obligation of surfing 3 waves a day every single day. But I'm sure after he makes his surgery and is recovered he is going to be surfing again.

But I gotta say, he is lucky to have a break that had waves EVERY SINGLE DAY for 40 years!

P.S. I've surfed Dale's "break" a couple of times. There are seasons when there are almost no waves. During these periods, Dale was in the water nearly all day waiting for the 3 waves. As far as I know, he never misses them.
