Posted: Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:37 amSome how I missed this post and made another one which I went and deleted so here is what I said there. When I was about 4 years old I met Duke Kahanamoku at Waikiki. I still remember it because he scared the crap out of me. He was a very different looking guy. I was 4 years old and had never seen anyone like him with his aged sun worn skin and Hawaiian features. I wish I had a chance to get to know him. It's his birthday, he would be 125 today. But thanks Duke for your part in making surfing what it is today.
