Ok, I asked a question about rusty wetsuits and well no one really answered it but ok i asked the rusty website. They said they only made limited edition wetsuits in japan..damn

Well, im like a perfectionist haha and I will hate anything i wear if its not the brand i like and i dont like the other brands really.. Since I CAN get a rusty rashguard and boardshorts, im wondering if the water im in will be warm enough.. I live in jersey and i usually get cold with just shorts on because i get cold easily.. ima take a guess and say the water temp may be around 70 but im not sure... it this warm enough for a rashguard? even tho rashguards arent meant for warmth do they provide a little bit? sry for so many questions but please help me out.. thanx -

PS i also wanted to go during colder months but i guess i wont be able too

hell yea thats boardshorts water, I go down to the mid sixties before a shorty, but I duno I'm weird and don't get cold easily either... I went out a while ago where everyone else was in full suits and I was out with them with no shirt...


haha I duno, try it, worst that can happen is you get cold, but you can "build up" for the cold and endure yourself through it and eventually get used to it just by surfing, or if you really want to just take cold showers every shower, no matter how cold or warm it is wherever.

But if you really wanted to you could get someone elses suit and wear a rusty rashguard over it... Sounds kookish but I duno, if you wanted to that badly...

I guess I can wear boardshorts and a rashguard but i get cold really easy cause im skinny with no meat on my bones haha.. but anyway the only problem is I wont be able to go during like september and stuff but i already have a spring suit (Oneill hammer)so I guess I can use that but i hate (just because its oneill lol now u see how im a perfectionist? lol) ..

PS I just found out that my beach is actually usually like low sixties.. and i die in regualar pools that are like low 80s haha Im a warm water guy lol i hate the cold but ill see what I can do..

ya bro 70 is warm, thats boardshoart weather. low 60's isnt too bad, but u could wear a spring suit or something if u want to.

Guest - you deffo don't wanna be cold when surfing or you'll pull a muscle or just not enjoy being in the water. I'm afraid I really can't get my head around you having a perfectly good O'neill suit and yet would rather risk getting cold in Rusty stuff. Mate, O'neill make wetsuits, Rusty make boards. I know which suit I would wanna wear in the water!

Well the thing is I want a full suit so I can be really warm in the summer and be able to go surfing in like february or march and september.. the question? I dont understand the sizes like 3/2.. I know the higher the number means its thicker in mm but why two numbers>? i dont get that.. im gussing id get a 3/2 but i dont really understand the numbers im just guessing lol thanx ahead of time -

the numbers refer to thickness n 3/2 means a combination of 3mm and 2mm panels. like the arms might be 2mm but the rest 3 or something.ive got a gul 5/4 n the arms are thinner.

how do i find out what body part is thinner then the rest? can it all be the same like all 4 mm? and what mm or combination do i need to be able to surf in colder seasons? thanx

The thinner stuff on the arms makes them easier to move, another millemeter wouldn't help all too teribly much... Just make it harder to move

yo surfdude scarbourgh ive got a gul 5/3 suit says contour on the arm and do you have any problems wiv the neck fitting ?mine a bit tight but ididnt notice it till i got out in the water /
