Ever wondered about the expression 'going over the falls'
Well, wonder no longer (at what it means) - but wonder about how he survived (watch the video)

Ouch
I went over the falls in the same way a couple of weeks ago on a wave a tenth the size of that... and it still hurt, so god knows what that felt like.

Im' with you DBBB, I find it hard to imagine what that must feel like. Lucky to get out of that one relatively OK.

seriously that he is not getting hit by the lip makes a big difference in what happens. The lip goes down and hits the reef and water bounces back off the reef creating a sort of cushion if you will that often keeps you from hitting it . Still a massive and scary wipeout. I bet he thought he was dead.

Not to mention but once he survived that one then there is the next wave and the next wave.
