Surfing Waves

Decided to take a day off tomorrow, for an all day surf session and a debrief in the pub later... so the weekend starts in 40 mins

be good to get in for a decent amount of time, so far this year its been 1/2 hour here and there, just hope the north Cornwall coast doesn't decide to mess up my plans.

Friends just got a new go-pro, so i should finally get some video to see what im doing wrong... and theres also a small chance it might show me doing something right

either way, should be fun.

well, the surfing went well, it looks like after 3 years as a beginner, i have progressed, from complete novice, through absolute beginner, past new surfer, beginner, kook and all the way to progressive beginner, maybe even to intermediate beginner...

Its amazing the difference it makes surfing with someone, when i go by myself, i tend to give up, not paddle hard enough, and usually end up 1/2 way outback cos its easier... When theres someone there to mock you if you don't do it well enough then you end up doing a lot better :0

So i spent a few hours out back, only 2-3 ft faces, but catching pretty much every wave i went for, green faces, trimming, moving around on my board, even working towards a cutback, although didnt seem to have enough speed to finish the cut back, more a c shape than a s shape... but a lot more aware of what im doing and why:-)

all in all a good day, and my stoke is definitely back now.... 4 visits to the beach this long weekend:-)

just need to get rid of my job now so i can go more.
