Were you surfing Gorleston Saturday? 2 chicks in the water from UEA - 1 with dreads the other on a green longboard - not you?

Hey no unfortunatley not, only the more experienced ones went on sat and im a kook. I think the one you thought had dreads was Sarah though, brown braided hair, Circle One board? Shes a good mate of mine. Went surfing in Wales wit the UEA surf club a few weeks ago though, which was fab. Might see you in the water before the semesters over though.

Take care

Yeh UEA'a sending a team down to the BUSA's, dont think they are taking anyone but competitors this year, but I might try and make it down on my own anyway, will have to wait and see how work/money etc going. They're not planning on going to surf relief day as far as I know but will double check that at swimming tonight.

Take care guys

Swimming, as in your club has swimming sessions for training.. thats impressivly organised.

Its too expensive here for the club to Sub that sort of thing. but I doubt many would go anyway. Not big enough or motivated. Everyone seems out for themselves. Most of our best people don't compeate.

Ha ha no its not really that organised. Its just whoever can be bothered to turn up that evening at 8.45, its not subbed and last week only three of us went. The sportspark and swimming pool are on campus so its not difficult. Actually I did here a rumour a while ago about another trip to Wales in April but dunno if thats happening or if it will tie in with surf relief, i'll ask the guys tonight.....

Do you know if Luciano Heurgo is on the uni team? Cos if not he should be, he won the Cromer competition by a mile - seriously he could give most WQS surfers a damn good run for their money! Could put lil' ole UEA on the surf map :D .

I surfed Sea Palling a few times during the week and there were some UEA dudes and dudettes there monday - spoke to a guy from Devon/Cornwall south coast (and UEA) who rode a retro looking fish , nice guy.

Got a 7'4" Fistral Surf Company mini mal. Just something i can learn on before hopefully moving down in size while i'm in New Zealand. I'm in love with her (shes pink) :)

Not sure who was out on monday, dont think they had the mini bus so probably just some of the guys lucky enough to have cars at uni. Any idea of the guys name? What did he look like?

Not sure if im going to make it this weekend or not now, first exam a week today and still got quite alot of prep work to do, so havent been ringing round for a lift

Talking of which i really should do some work. Hopefully bump into you in the water soon.

erm, didn't get a name but think he had blondish hair, medium height. They were in the mini bus tho, and one of the chicks had irish(I think ) accent and said it was her first time surfing.
I'll have to keep my eyes open looking out for a chick on a pink FSC minimal then  - although it looks pretty 'orrible for a surf ATM, 20mph onshores! Sunday might be cool if the wind drops tho.

Weird, they usually only have the mini bus on sundays and wednesdays, I know they were out on sunday, didnt here anything bout monday though, i'll ask around see what was going on :) . He he no idea who the guy is, that describes about 75% of the blokes in the UEA surf club. I dont know everyone in the club yet either, its pretty big and every time we meet up theres a couple of people i've never met before. Keeps uni interesting. Yeh, its not looking good for this weekend for me getting to the coast. Unless anyone would like to take my Evolutionary Biology exam for me??? Any idea what the train companies stance on boards on trains is around here?
I'll be going to Lowestoft on tuesday I think but its for someones birthday so there will be probably be quite large quantities of alcohol involved so will be staying well away from the sea :?

Right, time to go and stare at my board lovingly for a while.....

Cool. Me too 8).
Just finished my late shift - had enough of reviving smackheads for a while, be nice to get some waves. Looks like it will be ok. Light offshores with a 2-3ft long range ground swell, 9 sec interval. My money is on East Runton from 10:00 onwards :D.

This is going back a few years, but it used to be that although you can take a bicycle on a train for free, you had to pay FULL FARE to take a surfboard!!??

UNLESS.... (you'll like this)

You wrap it up and call it a 'Package' in which case it's free!!

Bizarre!!
