Surfing Waves

Just heading off the onslaught of questions concerning BAT TAILS. Since Kelly is riding a Bat Tail, it's almost guaranteed that someones going to inquire about the benefits. Oh my, we're not even clear about swallow tails and Fish tails. And now this !

Looks more like a visual appealing design than performance related. A swallow has a more accentuated line, so it can affect the way the water flows on the tail more intensively. This one might make a difference on the way water flow there, but less accentuated.
I don't know, I can be wrong, but it doesn't look like it would make that much difference. The board looks nice though .

Looks like more rail with less tail. I don't know who will be buying them since Kelly lost in the quarterfinals using a bat tail.
