Surfing Waves

Seems like there will be a good swell hitting Pipeline & Backdoor tomorrow, 3ft and about 20s period (seems like a strong swell ). 3ft sounds small, but I imagine the shallow reef make 3ft turns into an overhead easily in pipe, maybe even blow some barrels!
It's north-west, so it will probably open both pipeline and backdoor (yeah, I've been doing my homework! ). They say pipe is at it's best only a few times a year. Who knows this might be one of them?

I'll be watching the cams! (would rather be surfing, but I'm landlocked for a while)

There is supposed to be a big swell hitting west australia and they will probably run the Magaret River Drug Aware Pro in about 6 to 7 hours. if you are still bored then it will be cast online.

Well, I guess I overvalued this swell

Couldn't see much in the cams (all the ones I found online were lagging and stopping after a few seconds for advertising), but it didn't look as I expected. Waves were closing a lot in the morning (maybe swell direction being slightly off?) and it looked a little better on afternoon (a small crowd started to show), but still not the long tube riding I was hoping to see .

Still much better than somedays I've surfed though!
