Surfing Waves

anybody know of companies that sponsor intermediate surfers. Not looking for much just some stickers and maybe some clothes or something. Seems like nowadays you have to be the next Kelly slater to find a sponsorship, but I know there are some shops out there that are willing to sponsor.

Why would a business sponsor an intermediate surfer?

The deal is simple.
"Wow look at them surf , so good. Look at the board the clothes etc they make them surf so well!"
I must have some of that.
Intermediate surfer just doesn't deliver bang for buck.
There are hordes of intermediate surfers, what makes you an outstanding intermediate surfer that is worth sponsoring?

Instead of Sponsorship ( salary, contest /travel fees, products ) you should be looking for Product Support. Best is to ask your local shop you hang out at. The owner might be happen to spot you a shirt or cap with their logo on it. If your not doing contest, then you better be known as the best ripper at the local break. Later you might be able to get Rider's Discount on some surf goods. But Sponsorship, no way.
