Big SoCal Surf

We're having big surf in SoCal! Normally, surf is small in Summer. But, Tropical storm Marie is delivering 20 to 30 ft waves. We haven't seen waves this large in Summer since 1990.

It's pretty wild. Nearly all surfers are getting out. Some are getting in over their heads. In fact, one was rescued at the Wedge in Orange County by none other than waterman legend Laird Hamilton!

BBC had news reports last week about this swell. They showed a number of different breaks and Laird Hamilton shooting the pier. Did you get any waves billie?
