Hey Guys:

My name is Austin and I am from Indiana. I am vacationing in San Jose/San Francisco from 8/21-8/25. I would like to go surfing on the morning of August 22nd. I have never been before and have wanted to try ever since I was a kid. I have been aggressively wake boarding and water skiing since I was 6 and have a very good feel for the water. I don't want to go with an outfitter because they are going to put me with 5 or 6 people. I am willing to pay the going rate for a 2-3 hour session. I will need a surf board and full body wet suit. I definitely don't want to go with just anyone I am looking for someone with experience who will also be able to keep me as safe as possible (I understand there is risk in surfing). If this sounds like something you would like to do while earning a little money on the side please let me know. Thanks and God bless.

Austin

Austin,
Contact Richard Schmidt Surf Lessons in Santa Cruz:
http://www.richardschmidt.com/rs_thecompany.html

Request private lessons from Richard or one of his seasoned instructors. They guarantee you will stand up. It worked for my wife 7 years ago.

Thanks man. I set up a private surf lesson with a guy through Craigslist. We are going to Linda Mar this Friday morning. I am super excited and will keep Richard's name in case it falls through. I appreciate your response.

I used to surf Linda Mar occassionally. Hopefully, the waves will be good when you go there.

Craigslist surfing lessons sound a bit sketchy to me! I hope you agreed to meet at the beach and not in his home/basement dungeon.
