Swiss girl's first surf session in the UK

Hi!
my name is Svetlana, I'm coming from Switzerland and really love surfing.... I just arrived in Oxford UK, where I'll be working for the next three Months. I brought my boards with me (7.0 and 6.0) and a warm wetty to be able to surf during the weekends. The nearest spots will probably be in South Wales & Devon. But I don't mind going further down to Cornwall as I'm here with my car anyway.
I'm looking for some advises on where to go best (maybe where there is a nice surfschool/camping site to stay at)... As I never surfed in the UK before, it would probably be easier to get started with someone from here I'm still half a newbie but I love every bit of beeing in the ocean.

if you can make it down to cornwall you will be spoilt for choice for breaks and schools.If you are looking for somewhere near newquay, pm me, i can recommend a school and campsite.

hi there, thanks for you reply! I'll check cornwall as soon as I get more than 2 days off... it's a long way down there. But 4h to Newquay, that's much easier to reach! I'd be happy to get your recommandations for the campsite and school.
