Surfing Waves

a mate of mine whos a churchie invited me down the coast for a church surf comp. at first i kinda laughed it off, agreeing to go down the coast with his to surf, but not really thinking church groups and surfies mix. i was talking to another mate, who, un beknowns to me was a member of the same surf group. im getting told the competition is hot down there, plus the forecast is calling for great surf.


i dont usually go in comps, i did a few when i was younger but i was just soul surfing up until now. im heading in with my 6'3 thruster cus there meant to be some swell, Sunny FCS fins and im thinking about takin my grip off and going all wax.

btw, ive just got heard of some tropical cyclone swell coming down the coast which should hit the comp when it starts. 10-12 feet, which means the beaches will have 8,9 foot waves. sooo pumped! its going to be epic...

One good thing about competitions, you are guaranteed 20 mins in good surf with only 3-4 other people out - and that is if you lose in the first round.
