I’m examining the effect water quality has on the surfing community and their surfing habits.
I'm posting it up here for you all to fill out if you could please spare a few moments I would be very grateful.

It's as a word document and the instructions included! If you could just highlight/underline etc the answers that apply. Also add any information where necessary. Don't worry if the format gets messed up I'll still be able to get your answers.

I'm a little confused about the lag time between when it rains and when it's safe to go in the water.

I am under the impression that it's 72hrs after a major rain. Now, does rule stand if it has rained for days on end? Example: It's been raining here in Los Angeles for basically 3 weeks straight. But I saw people out this past weekend and there was actually a surf contest. But the rain just stopped today (1/11/05).

Any thoughts?

Well if its been raining for ages then i'd expect its pretty diluted. that or it can' really get any worst. LA coast is one of the worst in the world for viral strains in the water.

Sent your survey back last night, hope it's useful even though I don't surf the UK. I'd be very interested in the final product.
