Quick question:
How often do u fellow surfers wax your board?
& with both basecoat & topcoat or just the later?
Lmk
I wax my board every 2-3 seshes but feel I should prob slick that sucker up more often & am curious how often other surfers wax their boards.
Thanks for the feedback
PEACE

I wax my board once per sesssion, if my grip is fading, i normally use a wax comb and roughen it up a little

I rarely ever wax. I wear reef boots to help with the cold water and rocky ground and they seem to get good grip even if the wax isn't fresh.

I wax every session. Long ago when I used to surf for a long time I waxed often during a surf session too.

My board is hairy, no wax, I actually use a nose to tail grip , thin clear plastic sheets, as good as wax, no temperature issues. Pictures, and product details coming!

One of the things I have started to do is to wax after a session so that I don't end up with a hot board and melting wax due to sitting in the sun in the back of my truck before I go surfing. This has improved my waxing due to hot boards don't wax well. Before I would put the board in the water to cool it down but I am so in a hurry to get into the water these days it works better to wax when the board is cool sitting on a rack in my room. Sometimes I use sand to rough up the wax if I don't have wax or didn't prewax.
