Surfing Waves

Before i asked what to do in the winter for Florida but seems like the weather is back in the 70's 80's again not for long though. So i planned to go surfing today with my foam board because i started this year. But other surfers out there know me kind of and they say im doing really well for a beginner. My question is today it says 5-6ft- 6-7ft will my board be good for these kind of waves.



Oh I can stand up on my board pretty well I rarely wipe out now as i used to couple months back.
Foam board is all i got until next summer when im old enough to have a job im 15 right now.

No, stay out of that. That's big swell.
You might be able to stand up on a small day, but you won't have any control of a foam board on a day like that. It'll just get pushed about where the swell wants it to go. If you're lucky, that would be back to shore and you wouldn't be able to get out, but if you're unlucky...

Even if you had a great time, there is a good chance that you could snap your foam board, and be left without a board to surf with.

I watched a youtube video of a guy surfing pipeline in a hawaii on a wavestorm foam board, and he did pretty damn well, but he went through a few boards rather quickly.

Stay inside and just surf some whitewash. When I was a beginner I would paddle out up to 4 ft and stay inside and ride whitewash when it was bigger. I remember a 10ft day where I was walking to the beach with my longboard and the lifeguard came by to talk me out of it (wrong, board, wrong beach, etc...), I reassured him I was just shoreriding and did so.
