reef breaks with smaller waves

I was looking on surf-forecast for decent waves tomorrow in Los Angeles. Only decent surf seems to be on reef breaks, but with smaller waves (2ft mostly). If I am rather confident in my skills on smaller waves, does it seem reasonable to try a reef break when the waves are small? I have reef booties, so that isn't an issue, because I've been surfing in places with decent amounts of rocks.

Just curious, I would not really consider this or even try it if the waves were big, but it sounded like an interesting new experience with the waves in my comfort zone.

Just wanted to say that I found a website that has more in depth descriptions of all the breaks here in SoCal (http://www.wannasurf.com/) , and its definitely helping me decide which places are appropriate to go to.
