Surf blogs - what would you like to see?

Postby nickyb » Wed Sep 25, 2013 12:04 am

So guys,

I've decided to blog about my surfing ineptitude, as I'm a hell of a lot better at writing than I am surfing :-)

It'll be a light harder woman in thirties learns to surf - with handy tips like shark evasion, police evasion (it's a long story), tales of aggro locals (in bondi, seriously?!) and other such nonsense.

But I just wondered out off all the surf blogs/articles out there is there anything you'd like to see in these.

It's basically a labour of love so any thoughts would be appreciated.

Since we have been talking a bit already nickyb , the great Aussie cry rings out "go for it".
Realistically women writing about what moves them in the surfing world is or will be an important genre.

"White Horses" is an Australian magazine that is publishing quite a lot of women's writings.
I'm a little biased about White Horses as I have had work published there too.

As for here just let us know a little more of your plans and a link or better still ( and I am not the person who decides this) write articles for Surfing Waves.
I think it would be great! :D

Fabo - every fleshin' up imaginable, I've made it (apart from anything that involves massive surf - I hide from that)

You need to make a trip down the south coast - somewhere like Bendalong, Mollymook/Narawallee or around that area. I guess its 3 hours from Bondi but you will struggle to find more than 5 people in the water at the same time, unless its Christmas in which case there may be 10

I made it out to Broulee briefly over the long weekend (was working but managed to squeeze in a quick session) was awesome!

Anyway here's the new blog - a bit of a random one:
