PandaJosh you have a proud history behind you, let me tell black guys surf!
Here is a little bit about a few that have preceded you,
http://legacy.blacksurfing.com/history.htmSome people would even dare to consider Hawaiians a shade of black, poor prejudiced fools they. Duke Kahanamoku had to comply with segregation laws when they existed .
The real answer is that not many black people surf. A bit like the US swim team and the perhaps the streaming of black people to sports where they excel!
This of course could be a guy from Australia talking nonsense, but that is my understanding from what I've read in passing.
PandaJosh you are still rare enough in the water to be a pioneer. Just surf

Haha... Thanks man but when I'm out their surfers occasionally look back but the people on shore all eyes are turned towards me but it's all cool I guess.

Just surf, Josh ("JSJ")!
Every few years, I visit my Mom in O'Town. During these visits, I slip away to catch waves at Cocoa Beach. Try it sometime. Two tips:
1) be sure to feed the parking meter (or park where there is no meter and walk a few blocks)
2) There's a nice hump on the south side of the pier about midway out

Ocean Break, I'm in Jacksonville too bro but I go to Huguenot next too Little Talbot I don't go to Jacksonville Beach because all of bad stuff I hear about it. Plus I'm in north Jacksonville the beach I go its like 15mins away from me so I get alot of practice time and I'm kind of scared to go to Jacksonville Beach because I don't know what's in that water the water is not even brown anymore its black.

If the water is brown or black with discharge after rain I would be more afraid of infection than sharks, I also wouldn't swim or surf there with scratches or scars that are still healing.
A shark bite under effluent filled water conditions would make death by post operative infection more likely!

Yea I don't go to Jax Pier unless I want a death wish. But I put neosporin used for scratches and cuts it's healing pretty nicely. I'm out the water until Friday due to weather here in North Florida by the time Friday comes it should be already healed up. Hopefully no wait scratch that might be out water for many days weather is getting worse.
