Freedom Surf provides surfing experiences for people having physical disabilities, autism and special educational needs. It's a seven year old not-for-profit organization. It's been reported that they lost their truck and trailer to the sea at Towan Beach in Newquay (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2386722/Dramatic-moment-surfing-company-owner-battled-rescue-truck-trailer-caught-incoming-tides-swept-sea.htm).

The reason for the loss is the human stupidity of holiday-makers. Freedom Surf had taken some disabled children surfing. The tide was coming in so the Freedom Surf director went to move their truck and trailer. But, holiday-makers would not move out of the way. This went on long enough for the sea to claim the organization's truck and trailer.

This has me boiling mad.

Disgusting.
Some belligerent tourists even clambered on to the vehicle and stared at him, refusing to budge.

Total and utter disgrace.

This is why Newquay is to be avoided during the summer. Idiots. Boardmasters this weekend too, i wonder if we'll have a copy cat performance of what went on at the US open of surfing?

RE: public human behavior has become so absurd

Saw the video at Huntington Beach US Open. Read about behavior at Newquay. Simply derilect and no one feels any shame. Sad reflection on the "civilized."
