Temporary ding repairs?

I have a ding on a short board I own. It's near the tail but not quite on it. I was hoping to surf this board the next couple of days but do not have the time right now to patch the ding and glass it etc. I've heard that putting duct tape over the ding will help to prevent water damage, and I was wondering if you guys knew any other ways of temporary ding repair and also if you think that would work. Thanks a lot

Suncure.
Duct tape is only the absolute last resort if you're somewhere where you definitely can't fix it but definitely have to surf. Chances are it'll still damage the board.

Suncure on the other hand will be fine.

Ok and how long do you think it will take for it to dry? I wanted to use it tomorrow.if I put it on now would it be all dry and ready to go (after I sand it) by tomorrow? Thanks

Should be fairly fast. Shouldn't take longer than an hour from application to sanding.

Suncure or Dr Ding will do a temporary repair. I would never use tape unless there was no other option. Ding repair kits tend to shrink in the sun so you should repair properly as soon as you can.
